Welcome to the official Soundabode Music Production & Audio Engineering Academy brochure. Our comprehensive courses are built to take passionate music creators and train them to become professional producers, sound designers, and mixing engineers. Whether you aim to release chart-ready electronic music tracks, compose background scores for games and short films, or open your own independent studio setup, our certified curriculum provides the roadmap to succeed in today's music industry.
Below you will find the complete syllabus breakdown for our music production and sound engineering programs in Pune. Led by Ableton-certified mentors and industry professionals, our training focuses on practical, project-based learning.
In the first module, you will master the layout and functions of Ableton Live. We explore the session and arrangement views, clip management, routing MIDI instruments, and audio capture. You will understand how to optimize your DAW buffer sizes, configure sound cards, organize samples, and build customized templates to accelerate your creative workflow. This ensures that you can capture inspiration instantly without technical hurdles.
Module two explores synthesis. You will learn subtractive, wavetable, and FM synthesis from the ground up. We train you to build drums, basslines, leads, and evolving pads using standard software synthesizers like Serum, Operator, and Wavetable. You will also understand how to use modulation sources, envelope shapes, and filters to carve out unique sounds that distinguish your music from generic presets.
In module three, we cover the art of mixing. You will study phase relationships, structural arrangement, and sound stage width. We dive deep into dynamic processing tools: using compressors, gates, limiters, and sidechaining. You will learn to use parametric EQs to clean up frequency mud, apply spatial effects (delays, reverbs, chorus) to create depth, and group tracks for consolidated control.
The final module focuses on the final polish. You will learn to master your tracks for streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, checking LUFS targets and peak headroom values. We also cover music business topics: copyrighting your songs, signing with record labels, setting up digital distribution, and marketing your release to playlist curators and DJs worldwide.
Our Pune academy is built as a hybrid analogue-digital workspace. We feature professional studio monitors (Yamaha, KRK), dynamic and condenser microphones (Shure, Rode), Arturia MIDI keyboards, and hardware synthesizers. Students get access to these treated rooms for studio practice hours, giving you hands-on experience in a real-world mixing environment.
The beginner Ableton Live course takes 8 weeks, while the advanced Audio Engineering diploma program runs for 24 weeks.
No, we teach all necessary music theory basics - like scales, chords, and arrangements - specifically for electronic music producers.
We train primarily on Ableton Live 12, but the sound engineering principles you learn apply to Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and FL Studio.
